Christiana Brenton


I have over a decade of media experience within the APAC, EMEA and US markets, contributing to and leading high performance sales teams specialising in audio, podcasts and 360 influencer partnerships. My earlier career was spent at one of Australia’s biggest media companies, Nova Entertainment, earning recognition as one of B&T Magazine’s 30 Under 30. In 2019, I moved to the UK to join global podcast giant Acast, where I am proud to have been the number one global revenue generator, playing a key role in scaling their Acast Creative offering for global advertisers and maturing the sales operations across the IPO era.

In 2022, I relocated to New York where my co-founder & I led Acast’s US transformation, rebuilding the local sales operations as well as re-crafting and re-launching the company's market positioning. Our thought leadership around the advertiser challenges of concentrating spend in the top shows alone was captured at the IAB Upfronts and published in the Podcast Business Journal. In the US, we witnessed the power of podcast advertising for DTC brands seeking growth, with performance marketing budgets accounting for over 52% of the $2.3 billion podcast advertising industry. We immediately saw an opportunity for more performance campaigns in the UK and European market, which currently represents less than 20% of total spend in the channel.

I have a 20 year career in media, podcasts, and publishing in both London and the US, where I was based out of New York with global podcast giant Acast. I love podcasts and co-launched Telling with Christiana, to connect advertisers to podcasts and the global audiences who love them. I also consult with brands and talent on how to create commercially successful podcast strategies that grow both audiences and revenues simultaneously. I was grateful to be named as one of Hollywood Reporters ‘Most Influential People in Podcasting in my Managing Director role at Acast, where I led the markets in both the US and the UK through the company’s IPO period and its most successful era to date.

During the last two decades I have led the strategic commercial and operational transformation for fast-growth, high-profile companies and brands. My career prior to podcasts was at global news and magazine publishers in leadership roles at iconic media brands including Hearst's Cosmopolitan and Stylist in the UK. I have worked with global brands, agencies, publishers and talent, and love the relationships I have made with these partners in the last two decades.

I champion the cause of equity in all aspects of my work and leadership, and was one of the reasons why I wanted to co-found Telling, the first ever female founded podcast media agency in the UK.
